Yinka Ilori Designs Colorful Home Collection for Brabantia
British-Nigerian designer Yinka Ilori has collaborated with home product brand Brabantia to create a collection of everyday household items infused with color and joy.

The "Home Collection" aims to bring personality and playfulness to functional objects that are often overlooked. Ilori's goal was to highlight the "magic in the everyday" by transforming mundane items into sources of delight.
The range includes a trio of bins (a dual-compartment bin on legs, and 5 and 30-liter pedal bins), an ironing board with two covers, a drying rack, and a gift set with a water bottle, breakfast bowl, and salad bowl.
All pieces feature Ilori's signature vibrant patterns and contrasting colors like yellow, orange, and purple, creating a sense of rhythm and movement.
One motif, appearing on the bins and ironing board covers, uses orange lines that merge into a unified striped pattern, symbolizing individual efforts coming together to form a larger picture.
Ilori believes that incorporating art into everyday objects, even bins, can elevate daily routines and create moments of fun.
He suggested that a toilet brush could be a potential future project for adding joy to mundane items.
This collection complements Ilori's recent homeware and furniture line for Dunelm and follows other notable designs such as a trophy for the Africa Cup of Nations.
