Wiki World Forest Store

An architectural project in Wuhan, China, designed by Wiki World, aims to utilize waste wood materials in its construction.

The Wiki World Forest Store, with an area of 120 m², is slated for completion in 2026. It is categorized as a retail space and is situated at the entrance of Merryda Wiki World-Secret Camp, bordering a forest.

The project is a result of Wiki World's natural architecture practice, which emphasizes zero-print concepts and 100% timber structures. The initiative arose from the challenge of managing inevitable wood waste generated during construction.

The architects questioned whether these leftover wood scraps could be repurposed to build a structure and be transformed into interesting wooden products, leading to the planning of this building and its interior elements.

The design features a connection between pure wood and glass, adhering to a recyclable concept that avoids complex craftsmanship. Key collaborators include Advanced Architecture Lab, United Investment Merryda Hotel Management Group, and suppliers for wood, washrooms, and isolations.
