Trailcenter Rytterknægten by Matters architects

A new trail center designed to promote outdoor activity and nature access has been established in Denmark.

Trailcenter Rytterknægten is part of the nationwide initiative Danish Trailcentres. The project was initiated by DIF and Lokale & Anlægsfonden, in collaboration with Bornholm's regional municipality.

Designed by Matters architects, the center is located at the highest point in Bornholm, 162 meters above sea level, within Almindingen forest.

The pavilion offers visitors access to the island's terrain and biodiversity through scenic viewpoints and recreational zones. The project was designed in 2021 and built in 2023.
