Tiny TV Console Plays DOOM
A miniature game console capable of playing DOOM has been created, fitting entirely within a TV antenna plug.

The console utilizes an ESP32-S3 microcontroller and communicates with a controller via Bluetooth. It generates a composite video signal through a resistor-ladder DAC, using a lookup table for phase-shifted chroma waveforms for each color. This signal is modulated onto a carrier provided by the ESP's clock generator.
The resulting video output, while slightly noisy, is displayed on PAL TVs with a VHF tuner. The hardware is split across two boards, connected by a flexible PCB, with the battery housed between them.
While gaming through analog RF inputs is uncommon today, the project showcases significant ingenuity in miniaturization. Modifications might allow compatibility with UHF or NTSC televisions.
