The Full Moon Installation Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival

SHISUO Design Office has created "The Full Moon," an urban public art installation in Shanghai, in collaboration with a paper-cutting inheritor. The project celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The installation is themed around the moon, rabbits, and Shanghai-style paper-cutting. The rabbit is a universally beloved animal figure and, in Chinese Mid-Autumn folklore, is a companion to the moon.

The moon symbolizes the cyclical nature of existence, while the rabbit represents vitality, growth, and flourishing.

The project's area is 20 m² and it is scheduled for completion in 2025.

Key collaborators include artist Shi Qinling (Shanghai-style paper-cutting inheritor), and the Power Station of Art (PSA) for planning and presentation.
