Super Mario 64 Now Playable on Microsoft Zune
A fan-made project has enabled the classic game Super Mario 64 to run on the Microsoft Zune HD portable media player.

The project utilizes sm64ex and requires users to provide their own legal ROM file. Building and loading the game onto a Zune HD is described as straightforward.
The Zune HD's touchscreen displays a controller interface overlaid with the game's video output. The process involves using NVIDIA's Tegra tools to pre-compile shaders, allowing the Zune's processor to handle gameplay.
Despite not achieving the market success of the iPod, the Zune was considered a capable device. A dedicated user base remains active, with modifications like Bluetooth and solid-state drive upgrades available for the devices, even after production ceased in 2012.
