Sungui Church Cultural Space (ㅅㄱ) by SML
The Sungui Church Cultural Space, designed by SML, is a new project aiming to provide a contemporary urban sanctuary. Its Korean name, 'ㅅㄱ', is inspired by Sukkoth, a biblical site of rest and preparation for the Israelites.

Located in the historic Sungui-dong neighborhood of Incheon, South Korea, the cultural space is designed to echo the ancient meaning of Sukkoth.
Sukkoth served as a crucial resting and sheltering point for the Israelites after their exodus from Egypt, enabling them to prepare for their onward journey.
The project, with an area of 84 m², is slated for completion in 2025.
Lead architects for the project are SeungMo Lim of SML and Jeong Jaeheon from Kyung Hee University.
The project falls under the 'Churches' category.
