Schönbuch's Stripes storage system updated with new finishes and shapes

German furniture brand Schönbuch, in collaboration with designers Jehs + Laub, has introduced updates to its Stripes storage system, now featuring new finishes, accent colours, and softer shapes.

The modular and customisable Stripes system, a staple in Schönbuch's collection for nearly two decades, can be configured into sideboards, wall units, and various other storage solutions. It is distinguished by its handle-free, painted door fronts, with integrated grip recesses that create a linear, "striped" aesthetic.

Recent updates for 2026 include the option to finish these grip recesses with new wood veneers or accent colours. The system now offers five oak veneer and three mineral stone options for sideboard tops, in addition to the existing painted panels. New rounded end units have also been added, which Jehs + Laub suggest make the design appear "friendlier and smoother".

Jehs + Laub commented that the Stripes system is versatile, suitable for various spaces such as entrance areas, bedrooms, or offices.
