Steelcase Redesigns London Studio to Showcase Wellbeing-Focused Design

Furniture manufacturer Steelcase has unveiled its redesigned WorkLife Studio in London's Clerkenwell, aiming to demonstrate how thoughtful design can enhance wellbeing and collaboration in the workplace.

The studio showcases Steelcase's latest workplace research and design solutions, featuring organic materials, a soft color palette, and plants to create a warm atmosphere. The design reflects the evolving needs of modern workplaces, influenced by factors like increased screen time, AI, and a growing wellbeing crisis.

Steelcase designed the space to foster connection and creative collaboration, incorporating seven interconnected zones. These include collaborative neighborhoods, technology-enabled meeting spaces, a co-design studio, a WorkCafé, and flexible event areas.

The WorkLife Studio offers both private areas for focused work and collaborative spaces to encourage teamwork and a sense of belonging. This was achieved through extensive research and design workshops tailored to various work styles and preferences.

Steelcase intends for the studio to function as a "living laboratory" for testing new concepts and sharing insights with customers. Visitors can engage with Steelcase experts, experience products, and connect with a community of creators and designers.
