Southwick House: D-Day Command Center

Southwick House in England served as the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) leading up to D-Day.

General Eisenhower and his staff awaited the D-Day invasion results from this historic house. The original maps used on the day of the invasion are still on display.

While the house can be viewed from the road, interior visits require prior arrangement or booking a scheduled guided tour.

The grounds surrounding Southwick House are now home to the Defence School of Policing and Guarding, where British Armed Forces police officers receive their training.
