Docker Desktop 4.92.0 Released

Docker Desktop, an application for locally managing Docker containers and Kubernetes, has received a new update. Version 4.92.0 fixes various bugs and improves the user experience on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The update includes new versions of containerd (v2.3.5), Docker Agent (v1.140.0), Docker Buildx (v0.37.1), and Docker Offload (v0.6.27). Various issues have been resolved, including unreachable published ports, failing in-app updates, and Kubernetes remaining 'starting' indefinitely.

The functionality for browsing Docker Hub repositories and tags has been adapted to the current API. Users who logged out before an update are now prompted to log in again. The settings have been visually improved.

On Windows, support has been added for migrating admin installations to per-user installations. Error messages for WSL version checks and injecting host.docker.internal/gateway.docker.internal have been improved.

Further Windows fixes concern misleading error messages when opening WSL disk images, starting Kubernetes after deregistering a WSL distribution, and issues with single-file bind mounts on Docker VMM.

Problems with moving disk images to other drives and the failure of incremental updates have been resolved. The WSL 2 cross-distro bind-mount proxy has been improved. The update also includes a security update for containerd (CVE-2026-53495).
