New stable version of Clonezilla released

Clonezilla, an open-source program for disk imaging and backups, has received a new stable version 3.3.3-37. The update brings various improvements and bug fixes.

The underlying GNU/Linux environment has been updated to Debian Sid (as of 13 September 2026) and the Linux kernel has been upgraded to 7.1.13-1. Partclone has been updated to version 0.3.50, with a fix for a Btrfs issue.

Clonezilla lite server now supports PXEBoot and HTTPBoot network clients, including Secure Boot for HTTPBoot. Support has been added for LUKS2 repositories.

Outdated net-tools have been replaced by iproute2 alternatives, and dhclient-related code has been removed in favor of dhcpcd, which is now configured for stable IP reservations via clientid.

GRUB display has been improved with preferred resolutions and a fallback resolution to prevent display issues on 4K/HiDPI screens. The efitextmode is now conditionally executed under secure boot lockdown to avoid error messages.

The time synchronization option can now manage local hardware clocks by detecting boot parameters or interactively prompting when offline. Partition image conversion is now bypassed when restoring to identical base disks or partitions.

The cnvt-ocsiso-qcow2 tool has been rewritten with dual-packaging modes and flexible prefixing, and VHD boot kernel panics have been resolved. CJK font scaling has been improved and boot speed has been optimized.

Important bug fixes include a solution for the RHEL 10 / AlmaLinux 10+ LVM locking issue, a correction for partition device errors on empty partitions, and issues with detecting size or filesystem on bare disks. A bug where the TUI was not shown after cloning devices has also been fixed, and automatic console font size detection has been improved.
