Singelblok Residential Block in Amsterdam
A new residential block, Singelblok, has been completed in Amsterdam-Noord, featuring 401 homes and commercial spaces, designed to create a village-like atmosphere within the city.

The project, located along Elzenhagensingel near the Noord metro station, is divided into eight buildings and two set-back towers. It includes rental homes, assisted-living units, and commercial areas.
The design, a collaboration between BureauVanEig and INBO, emphasizes bay windows, facade articulation, varied brickwork patterns, and subdivision as key design elements.
The total area of the project is 41,500 m², with a completion year set for 2025. Key contributors include lead architects Wilco van Oosten and Marjolein van Eig, general contractor Heddes Bouw & Ontwikkeling, and various engineering and consulting firms.
