SHED/HOUSE by Side Angle Side

A residential project in Llano, Texas, designed to blend into its agricultural surroundings while offering expansive views of the Texas Hill Country.

The house, designed by Side Angle Side, is situated on a central Texas hill and oriented to capture a southern view of the landscape. Its design features a blank, shed-like facade facing the public road, intended to camouflage the structure within the agricultural setting.

The interior of the house extends from this shed silhouette in a linear plan. This plan is organized by six rectangles, progressing from public to private spaces.

Upon passing the shed-like exterior, a breezeway leads visitors through the house, doubling back to reveal the view and initiating the sequence of interior spaces. All interior areas are designed to provide a view and connection to the outdoors.
