RICHAUS: A Geometric Volume Interlaced with Nature in Chongqing

Vari Architects designed RICHAUS, a mixed-use and commercial architecture project in Chongqing, China, completed in 2024. The project spans 8000 m² and aims to create an interlaced condition between architecture, nature, and people.

The design inserts a contemporary geometric volume into the layered landscape of the mountain city, engaging in a dialogue with its natural surroundings and complex terrain.

Vari Architects focused on creating a relationship and interface between architecture and nature, as well as among people, within the context of urban regeneration.

The project reinvests significance into a previously overlooked office building, transforming it into a public cultural hub.

This hub connects culture, community, industry, and commerce, fostering a more open, abundant, and evolving community center.
