USMT Bizot Sports Centre Renovation in Paris

A former RATP industrial building in Paris's 12th arrondissement has been transformed into the US Métro Bizot sports center. The project consolidates various sports activities previously spread across multiple locations.

The building, located at 37 avenue du Docteur Arnold Netter, has a history of varied uses. It was initially constructed to stable horses during the horse-drawn transport era. Subsequently, it served as a mechanical workshop and storage facility before falling into disuse.

The renovation project, covering an area of 1980 m², was undertaken by THINK TANK architecture. It falls under the categories of Recreation & Training and Adaptive Reuse.

Key entities involved in the project include RATP Real Estate as the delegated contracting authority, and US Métro as the users. Various specialized firms contributed to demolition, structural work, carpentry, roofing, painting, water and heating systems, and more.
