Packages from China become more expensive again due to EU customs costs

From November, packages from China will become more expensive because the EU will definitively charge costs for customs clearance. The amount of these costs is still unknown.

The European Commission will determine the final amount of the administrative costs later. Earlier plans spoke of 2 euros per package, but this is not yet fixed in the definitively entered rules of the Union Customs Code. The costs may cover the incurred customs costs, but not exceed them.

This new levy comes on top of the 3 euros per product category that has been in effect since July.
