Zyva Studio's Paris Showroom Reimagines Ornamentation

Zyva Studio has transformed its founder's Paris apartment into a 60 sqm showroom, challenging the notion that ornament is merely a finishing layer. The design uses ornament as a starting point, integrating it directly into the architecture.

The showroom features oversized, floor-to-ceiling flowers and monumental chains, presented not as decorations but as integral elements of the space. In the bedroom, exposed ventilation ducts on a metal headboard become a design motif.

A terrazzo floor and granite table showcase a consistent use of aggregate, with variations in density and grain size. This mineral theme is complemented by printed hides, cowhide rugs, Dalmatian curtains, and perforated doors, creating a cohesive yet eclectic environment.

A coffee table, designed with Mosaic Factory, combines a terrazzo top with a structure inspired by the pipes from the video game Mario Bros., blending high-end materials with pop culture references without hierarchy.
