Osmanthus Moon Pavilion

Osmanthus Moon is a temporary public art installation designed to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. The project is a collaboration between HCCH Studio and a folk "Zao Hua" (stove flower) artist.

The installation features a projection inspired by the traditional osmanthus pattern, a symbol of autumn in China. This projection engages in a dialogue with the action paintings of the "Zao Hua" artist, who practices an intangible cultural heritage tradition.

The project was designed by HCCH Studio, with a design team including Hao Chen, Chenchen Hu, and Feng Qi. It has an area of 41 m² and is scheduled for completion in 2025.

The client for this project is the Power Station of Art Shanghai, and it is located in Shanghai, China. Guowei Liu provided the photographs, ADA Lighting served as the light consultant, and Art ZHOU was the contractor.
