Origami-Inspired Wearable Sensors

Researchers have developed paper-based sensors inspired by origami that can self-fold into wearable forms.

The sensors are designed to adapt to the wearer's body dimensions by folding into helical shapes. This self-folding is achieved by printing specific patterns onto paper using an inkjet printer.

Copper tape is applied to the paper to serve as electrodes. These electrodes can detect triboelectric signals and measure galvanic skin response.
