Old Route 5 Stone Wall

A waterfall flows through an old stone wall and cascades over mossy rocks in a steep, mossy canyon in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

The waterfall and two other creeks converge in the canyon before disappearing through a culvert. Visiting during rain can enhance the experience with increased water flow.

The site is accessible directly from the road, with easy walking around the canyon's rim. Descending into the canyon offers better photographic opportunities but is very steep and muddy.
