October 2026 Satellite Puzzler Challenge
NASA's Earth Observatory is presenting its October 2026 satellite image puzzler and inviting the public to identify the location.

Participants are encouraged to share their guesses for the location, along with any observed clues, interesting features, or personal connections to the place.
For those who wish to provide more detail, the challenge also offers an opportunity to identify the satellite and instrument used, the spectral bands utilized, or specific geological or historical aspects of the area.
The challenge does not offer monetary prizes, but successful participants will receive "puzzler bragging rights."
The correct answer will be revealed about a week after the challenge, accompanied by a link to a detailed explanation on the Earth Observatory's Image of the Day.
The first person to correctly guess the location will be recognized, and particularly insightful or interesting responses may also be highlighted.
By submitting an answer, participants agree that their comments may be edited, excerpted, and published by NASA Earth Observatory.
