Obra Blanca 2026: Architecture Event Focuses on Materials and Design
The seventh edition of Obra Blanca, an exhibition for architectural finishes and design products, will take place from October 13-15, 2026, in Mexico City. The event aims to foster connection, knowledge sharing, and immersion in the sector through an innovation showcase and international lecture program.

The event's agenda is co-designed with 32 partners, including professional associations and industry leaders, to offer a broad view of the Mexican architecture and interior design landscape.
The international lecture program features architects Carme Pinós, Daniel Bonilla, and Pritzker Prize laureates Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu, who will discuss their work and approaches.
The Activities Agenda is organized into three tracks: Habitable Space (focusing on housing, corporate interiors, and AI in architecture), Sustainability and Innovation (addressing materials, construction trends, and place-based design), and Lighting (exploring the relationship between light, architecture, and interior design).
A lecture by ArchDaily Editor-in-Chief Christele Harrouk will explore how architecture emerges from specific contexts, using the example of Peruvian practice Espacio Común's award-winning project in the Amazon.
The Obra Blanca Space will feature interviews, panel discussions, and a showcase of trends for 2027, including 'Fractured Beauty,' 'Living Matter,' and 'Multisensory Sanctuary,' developed by design firms.
Attendees can also participate in technical talks by exhibitors and explore exhibitions linked to major architectural biennials, including those from Nuevo León, Ibero-American Lighting Design, and the National Biennale of Mexican Architecture.
