Giant Poké Ball Guest Room to Open in Japan

Not A Hotel has unveiled plans for a unique guesthouse shaped like a giant Poké Ball, located by a lake in Hokkaido, Japan. The design aims to immerse guests in both nature and the Pokémon universe.

The spherical guest room, measuring three meters in diameter, will be constructed from molded acrylic hemispheres and feature a curved acrylic window, mimicking an opening Poké Ball. Visitors will enter through a sliding door into an interior dominated by a custom circular mattress. The washroom will be tiled in colors reminiscent of the Pokémon character Snorlax, and guests can choose custom lighting themes based on Pokémon characters.

This project is a collaboration with the Pokémon Sleep app, celebrating its third anniversary and Pokémon's 30th anniversary. Not A Hotel stated that the opportunity to stay in the Poké Ball room will be available through an upcoming competition, and it will not be open for public bookings or visits.
