Non-Formal Kindergarten in Romania

A new non-formal kindergarten, designed by ZEIA Studio, is set to be completed in 2025 in Jilava, Romania. The project aims to provide a safe space for Rroma children from disadvantaged families.

The educational architecture project, covering 440 m², is a collaborative effort initiated by the Casa Bună Association and supported by volunteers.

Lead architects Andra Ionel and Elena Zară have envisioned the kindergarten as a 'Citadel for Children'.
