NASA to Cover Northrop Grumman CRS-24 Spacecraft Departure
Northrop Grumman's Cygnus XL cargo spacecraft is set to depart the International Space Station on Friday, October 9th, after delivering over 11,000 pounds of supplies and experiments.

NASA will provide live coverage of the undocking and departure, beginning at 12:30 p.m. EDT. The space station's Canadarm2 robotic arm will detach Cygnus XL from the Unity module, with astronaut Luke Delaney monitoring the operation.
The spacecraft, loaded with disposal items and unneeded cargo, is scheduled for a destructive re-entry into Earth's atmosphere on Sunday, October 11th, where it will safely burn up. NASA will not cover this deorbit.
Cygnus XL launched on April 11th atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
