NASA Event to Celebrate International Observe the Moon Night

NASA is hosting a public event at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, on Saturday, September 19, to celebrate International Observe the Moon Night.

The free event, running from 5:30 to 8 p.m. CST, will feature talks by NASA experts on lunar science and exploration, including observations from the Artemis II crew. Media are invited to cover the event and should RSVP by Friday, September 18.

Attendees can participate in hands-on STEM activities, a science stage show, and a photo booth. Janet Ivey, host of "Janet's Planet," will be present. The Von Braun Astronomical Society will offer telescope viewings of the Moon and other celestial bodies.
