The Republic of Albania will become the 73rd nation to sign the Artemis Accords during a ceremony at NASA Headquarters on Monday, September 21st.

NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson will host Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha and Ambassador Ervin Bushati for the in-person event. U.S. Department of State officials will also attend.
Media wishing to cover the signing must RSVP by 10 a.m. on September 21st to hq-media@mail.nasa.gov. NASA's media accreditation policy is available online.
The Artemis Accords were established in 2020 by the United States, NASA, the State Department, and seven other founding nations to address increasing government and private sector interest in lunar activities.
These Accords outline practical principles designed to improve the safety, transparency, and coordination of civil space exploration missions to the Moon, Mars, and other celestial bodies.
