NASA Completes Restoration of Guam Station Damaged by Typhoon Mawar

NASA celebrated the full restoration of its Guam Remote Station on September 10, 2026, marking the end of a three-year recovery after Super Typhoon Mawar devastated the site in 2023.

The station's central antenna was returned to service on July 1, 2026. The Guam Remote Station is vital for NASA's TDRS constellation, ensuring continuous communication with the ISS and closing a critical "Zone of Exclusion" in orbit.
