Motorola Signature 27 with more powerful chip and extra camera

Motorola has unveiled its second Signature phone, the Signature 27. This premium device stands out with the integration of Qualcomm's latest high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme SoC and a refreshed design with an additional camera.

The Signature 27 swaps the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC for the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme. This new chip features higher clock speeds for both the two Prime cores (up to 5GHz) and the six Performance cores (up to 4GHz), promising a significant performance improvement over its predecessor.

The design of the Signature 27 has been revised. The camera island now spans the entire top of the rear, in contrast to the earlier model which had a smaller island in the upper left corner. An additional camera has been added, although Motorola has not provided specific details about it.

The 50-megapixel main camera uses a Sony Lytia 910 sensor with lofic technology. This sensor offers a dynamic range of 100dB (approximately 17 stops), allowing the camera to capture both very bright and very dark parts of a scene and produce sharper images of moving objects. The telephoto camera has been upgraded to 200 megapixels, a significant jump from the 50 megapixels of the previous model.

Details about the battery life and screen specifications of the Signature 27 are not yet available. The price has also not been announced. The predecessor of this device was launched in January for 999 euros. The global release of the Signature 27 is scheduled for 2026.
