MIT Startups Showcase Innovation at Demo Day

MIT's delta v startup accelerator concluded with its 15th annual Demo Day, featuring 13 student-led ventures. The event honored the memory of 9/11 victims while celebrating entrepreneurial progress.

The delta v program supports students working full-time on their ventures over the summer, providing mentorship and $75,000 in equity-free funding. This year's cohort, selected from over 200 applicants, included undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs from across MIT.

Presentations highlighted significant milestones, including customer partnerships and prototype deployments, with many teams achieving progress typically seen over multiple years. The companies addressed challenges in diverse fields such as AI, robotics, healthcare, cybersecurity, defense, and manufacturing.

Artificial intelligence was a prominent theme, with companies like Neural Physics developing AI models to accelerate product design and validation in manufacturing. Cerebrus AI presented a system for monitoring AI agent behavior to enhance security, while Talys uses AI to help healthcare organizations reduce spending.

Hardware innovations were also showcased, including RBT Resources' portable device for faster blood transfusions in critical situations and Gander Robotics' autonomous drone submarine for man-overboard rescue.

Other featured startups included Alpaca (frontier AI hosting), Banzai (AI for home repair diagnostics), Bizon Labs (lipid nanoparticle delivery), Cortheon (AI design for metal parts), Exo AI (AI for financial back-office automation), Pixology (AI for sales pitch materials), Robox (AI for physical automation design), and The Trade Lab (AI for import tariff navigation).
