MIT Ranked Nation's Top University by U.S. News for 2026-27

U.S. News and World Report has named MIT the top university in its annual rankings for the 2026-27 academic year.

MIT's engineering program retained its top ranking among undergraduate engineering programs at doctoral institutions. Additionally, the Institute's undergraduate computer science and economics programs were ranked No. 1, while its undergraduate business program secured the No. 2 spot.
