Meta Unveils AI Agent Charm Device

Meta is developing a portable AI agent device called the Muse Charm, designed to be carried like a bag charm. The device features a customizable avatar on a small screen, drawing comparisons to Tamagotchi.

The Muse Charm, from Meta's new design team, resembles a small smartwatch with a lanyard. It houses Meta's Muse AI agent, a personal assistant capable of tasks like writing emails and booking appointments. A fingerprint sensor initiates voice commands, and a built-in 5G modem provides internet access without Wi-Fi. A small camera allows the AI to perceive the user's surroundings.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the device, highlighting its compact technology for quick interaction with the Muse AI. The avatar can be customized to various characters, potentially appealing to a younger demographic familiar with AI companions.
