U.S. Pavilion from Venice Biennale to be Rebuilt in Arkansas
The U.S. Pavilion structure from the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects, will be reconstructed at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Arkansas in late 2027. The pavilion, originally titled PORCH: An Architecture of Generosity, explored the porch as a space for gathering and civic life.

After its exhibition in Venice, the timber-framed structure was dismantled and transported to Arkansas for storage. It will be re-erected as a freestanding pavilion on the museum's 134-acre campus, continuing its public function.
The exhibition featured approximately 50 selected projects and included performances, workshops, and discussions. The pavilion's design, a collaboration with Stephen Burks, Julie Bargmann, and Maura Rockcastle, aimed to provide an outdoor setting for the Biennale's public program.
Crystal Bridges' campus integrates museum buildings with native Ozark forest and walking trails, emphasizing the connection between architecture and landscape.
This reconstruction follows a recent 114,000-square-foot expansion at Crystal Bridges, designed by Safdie Architects with landscape design by Coen+Partners, further evolving the museum's architectural and natural setting.
