Lozi Unveils Modular Plywood Furniture for Small Bedrooms

Plywood furniture specialist Lozi is launching a modular system designed to maximize space in compact bedrooms, offering an affordable alternative to custom cabinetry.

The collection, inspired by pandemic-era requests for dual-purpose bedrooms, includes wardrobes, a fold-down bed, and desk units. Founder Soroush Pourhashemi aimed to provide the functionality of fitted joinery with the ease and lower cost of standalone furniture.

The system allows users to mix and match individual units to create custom configurations. Pieces can be adapted and combined without the need for bespoke design work, addressing the challenge of efficiently using limited space in small rooms.

Designs feature clean lines and hidden storage to avoid a cluttered feel. Wardrobes come in various configurations, including single and double door units with curved end sections that can be combined to fit different spaces.

The fold-down Murphy bed can integrate with wardrobes to form a cohesive storage wall. Desk units are designed for independent use or to slot alongside other furniture, while a chest of drawers includes a built-in vanity.

The collection also features an updated version of Lozi's curved bed frame with integrated storage. The furniture is manufactured using a modular jig system that allows for efficient fabrication of curved components.

Lozi's signature curved forms are incorporated throughout the collection, adding style and reducing the risk of injury from sharp edges in tight spaces. The furniture is available in maple, oak, cherry, and walnut finishes.
