Laminex Launches Nature-Inspired Colour Collection

Australian surface brand Laminex has introduced a new collection of colours and woodgrains for interiors, drawing inspiration from the country's natural landscapes.

Founded in Melbourne in 1934, Laminex has a long history of adapting to evolving architectural and interior trends, aiming to provide high-quality design for the Australian market.

The new Laminex Colour Collection 2027 features six solid colours and four Australian Native Woodgrains. The palette ranges from sandy neutrals to a rich red ochre, inspired by diverse Australian landscapes like the Victorian High Country, the Red Centre, and eastern hardwood forests.

The collection aims to capture the tonal variations of the Australian landscape without literal reproduction. It includes cooler alpine tones, sun-warmed neutrals, pink-toned browns, and deeper earth hues, complemented by woodgrains that add warmth and character.

These surfaces are designed to be versatile, allowing for combinations that create either low-contrast, calming spaces or high-contrast, impactful interiors when applied to cabinetry, joinery, and furniture.

Laminex notes that the unique intensity of Australian sunlight can alter the perception of these surfaces, revealing different undertones and relationships between colour and grain throughout the day.
