Kriskadecor's Chain Facade for Disney Store
Kriskadecor has designed a facade for Disneyland Paris's new store, Disney Glamour, using an aluminium chain system that draws inspiration from Mary Blair's iconic "it's a small world" artwork.

The facade features Kriskadecor's KDO Fixed System, an epoxy-coated aluminium chain system measuring 14.66 by 5.8 meters. It reinterprets the graphic style and colour palette of Mary Blair's original "it's a small world" design, using blues, golds, and whites.
The design mimics Blair's collage-like approach with geometrical motifs and international silhouettes. Kriskadecor stated the composition uses five colours to honor Blair's artistic language.
The facade is designed to interact with changing light, offering a dynamic appearance. It provides privacy externally while allowing visibility and natural ventilation internally.
The system is engineered to reduce solar heat gain and improve thermal comfort. It has also been tested to withstand variable wind pressures.
Kriskadecor highlights that the aluminium chains are corrosion-resistant and recyclable, aligning with sustainability principles. The flexible design facilitates straightforward installation and maintenance.
Kriskadecor's facade solutions are customizable in size, form, and colour, capable of reproducing images and patterns.
