Kengo Kuma Awarded Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award by CDA

Japanese architect Kengo Kuma has been selected as the recipient of the 2027 Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award by the Créateurs Design Association & Awards (CDA). The award recognizes Kuma's dedication to exploring how architecture can reconnect people with the natural world.

Kengo Kuma, founder of Kengo Kuma & Associates, was chosen by CDA members for his significant contributions to the built environment over more than three decades. CDA co-founder Yuri Xavier highlighted Kuma's consistent pursuit of harmony between humans and nature, a theme that resonates with the spirit of Andrée Putman.

The Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award is the CDA's highest honor, established to commemorate the legacy of the French designer. Unlike awards based on submissions, recipients are selected by CDA members.
