Urban Planning Competition for "Puerta de Madrid" in Leganés
The Community of Madrid and Leganés City Council are launching a competition for sustainable and innovative urban planning proposals for the new "Puerta de Madrid" neighborhood.

The project aims to develop over one million square meters, with 40% designated for green areas and open spaces. The remaining 60% will be for public facilities, tertiary services, and housing.
Approximately 4,000 housing units are planned, including 1,500 market-rate units and 2,500 for public protection or affordable rent.
The development will incorporate the Butarque Stream as a central feature and connect to natural spaces through the Arco Verde and Bosque Metropolitano environmental corridors.
