Jeff Koons Transforms Hublot's Classic Fusion into a Balloon Dog Watch

Hublot has collaborated with artist Jeff Koons to release four new watches, featuring two distinct models: the Classic Fusion Balloon Dog and the MP-14 Origin. The collection reimagines Koons' iconic art through watchmaking.

The Classic Fusion Balloon Dog draws inspiration from Koons' "Balloon Dog" sculptures. Hublot offers this model in three versions: mirror-polished stainless steel, blue anodized aluminum, and red anodized aluminum, with each limited to 200 pieces. The watch's design incorporates rounded case, bezel, dial, and indexes to mimic the inflated geometry of the sculptures. Details like a rubber element resembling a tail, an inflation valve-shaped crown, and a miniature Balloon Dog counterweight on the seconds hand enhance the theme. The self-winding HUB1710 movement features a customized oscillating weight echoing the watch's rounded design and offers a 50-hour power reserve. The watches are water-resistant to 50 meters and feature anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

The MP-14 Origin by Jeff Koons is inspired by the creation and expansion of the cosmos. This 44 mm watch features an octagonal transparent sapphire case with titanium components. Inside, concentric white-gold rings with diamonds and sapphires create orbital layers around a blue sapphire dome. Two suspended rotating rings indicate the hours and minutes. The watch houses Hublot's first automatic central tourbillon, powered by the HUB9014 movement, offering a 60-hour power reserve. Winding and time-setting are managed by concealed mechanisms to maintain the sapphire architecture's integrity. This model is limited to 30 pieces.
