teamLab's Interactive Art Explores Perception and Continuity in Chicago
The Smart Museum of Art in Chicago is hosting "teamLab: Everything Exists in Infinite Continuity," featuring new interactive digital installations by the international art collective.

Founded in 2001, teamLab comprises artists, animators, musicians, and technologists who blend art, science, and technology to explore human perception and imagination. Their immersive works suspend boundaries, emphasizing continuity in space and time.
The exhibition includes "Sea of Darkness, Memory Shining from the Depths," a new commission where a digital veil moves against a copper backdrop. Another piece, "Order in Chaos," reacts to touch, projecting vibrant lines across surfaces, aiming to expand painting into a spatiotemporal experience.
"Continuous Life and Death at the Now of Eternity II" dynamically changes with the environment, reflecting the time of day and season. This piece demonstrates the collective's interest in bridging time and location.
"The World of Irreversible Change" is a digital work depicting a community that, when touched too many times, enters a year-long, irreversible state of war. The piece illustrates a cautionary tale of destruction and eventual ecological recovery, but without the return of humanity.
