Huizhou Vernacular Historic Bridges Micro-Museum by LUO studio

LUO studio has designed a micro-museum and café located beside Shisanba Bridge in Mazha Town, Huizhou, China. The project is part of a larger regional curatorial initiative focused on creating rural waystations and spatial installations.

The initiative, themed around Su Dongpo's "Sixteen Delights of Life," invites architects and artists to develop installations along Huizhou's scenic highway.

Each participating team selects one of Dongpo's delights as a theme, creating a spatial installation that also offers café and tea services.

LUO studio's chosen site is a bamboo grove next to Shisanba Bridge.

The project spans 73 square meters and was completed in 2025.

Key collaborators include architects Luo Yujie and Wang Beilei, photographer Han Shuang, and developer Huizhou Huanliangshan Investment & Development Co., Ltd.
