House on the Hill Renovation

Gangoly & Kristiner Architects have renovated an old winegrower's house in Langegg, Austria, into a holiday retreat for clients they previously worked with in Vienna.

The project, completed in 2024, covers an area of 140 m² and is categorized as a house renovation with a focus on interiors.

The design team included Irene Kristiner, Dominik Troppan, Alexander Freydl, and lead architect Hans Gangoly.

The conversion aims to create a relaxed atmosphere suitable for hosting guests, contrasting with the clients' previous sophisticated, urban, and colorful city flat.

The architects noted that the clients desired a different atmosphere for their countryside retreat.
