House Around the Corner in Kugahara
A new house designed by Tezzo Nishizawa Architects and some ( ) is situated on a corner lot in Ota, Tokyo, on land previously part of a family estate.

The design challenges Tokyo's typical approach of presenting blank walls to neighbors. Instead, it incorporates a garden that faces adjacent properties, aiming to introduce light and air into the interior of the block.
The internal grid of the house is angled relative to its facade, creating triangular spaces. These spaces are intended to provide oblique sightlines between the two streets that meet at the corner.
The house features two similar gabled facades, addressing both streets equally without any apparent hierarchy.
