OKKA Architects Design House and Beeyard in Balaton Uplands

OKKA architects have completed a residential project in Hungary's Balaton Uplands, a region known for its traditional stone houses. The design incorporates elements of a historic "Beeyard" structure.

The project is situated in a landscape defined by small rural homes constructed from local stone.

The site previously featured a dilapidated stone house and two outbuildings, one of which served as a traditional 'Beeyard' for storing beehives.

The architectural design was led by Péter Szabó DLA and Emese Galamb, with a total area of 81 m² and a completion year of 2024.

The design team included Péter Szabó DLA and Emese Galamb as the lead team.
