House Above The Trees
Wallflower Architecture + Design has designed a house in Singapore, aiming to immerse its residents in nature while maintaining privacy from neighbors. The project is set for completion in 2025.

The site is located at the edge of Singapore's Central Nature Catchment Reserve, offering a unique opportunity for a home within a natural landscape yet close to the city.
A key challenge was balancing the desire for nature immersion with the need for privacy, as neighboring houses overlook parts of the site and obscure views of the forest.
The design seeks to avoid indiscriminately opening the house to its surroundings, which would compromise privacy, while also preventing an inward focus that would negate the natural setting.
