Hood River Pumping Station and Pipeline Trail

Hood River, Oregon features two distinct attractions: an abandoned hydroelectric pumping station and the Pipeline Trail.

The Hood River Pumping Station, a former hydroelectric facility that operated from 1923 to 2006, is now a graffiti-covered ruin. It was decommissioned after a flood destroyed the upstream dam in 2006. The building remains open, featuring smashed windows and openings in the floor, attracting urban explorers.

The pumping station also serves as the trailhead for the Hood River Pipeline Trail.
