HIMACS Terrazzo Collection Expanded with Five New Award-Winning Colors
HIMACS has introduced five new colorways to its Terrazzo collection, which has earned a Red Dot Design Award 2026 for product design. The collection updates the traditional terrazzo aesthetic with modern textures and patterns.

The new additions include Terrazzo Ulivo, Terrazzo Nuvola, Terrazzo Sorrento, Terrazzo Marsala, and Terrazzo Selva. These colors were recognized for their contemporary take on traditional design, blending expressive aesthetics with sustainable material innovation.
The HIMACS Terrazzo colors incorporate SCS-certified pre-consumer recycled content, aligning modern design needs with enhanced sustainability in a high-performance solid surface material. This makes the surfaces suitable for various environments like hospitality, retail, workplaces, and residences, offering the renowned durability and ease of maintenance of terrazzo.
Martin Saxby, director of HIMACS UK, highlighted the circular manufacturing approach, noting that production offcuts are reintegrated into new formulations. Terrazzo Selva notably features 25% recycled content, one of the highest in the HIMACS portfolio.
Furthermore, HIMACS materials are free from silica, nanoparticles, formaldehyde, and VOCs, addressing safety considerations for material specification.
