Herman Miller Updates Iconic Aeron Chair

Herman Miller has updated its Aeron office chair, first designed in 1994, with new materials and features aimed at enhancing ergonomics and sustainability for modern workplaces.

The Aeron chair, designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick, has been continuously refined with innovative materials and features to support long-term sitting. It is designed to accommodate different body types and promote healthy posture through its ergonomic form and adjustable back support.

The latest version incorporates Herman Miller's 8Z Pellicle suspension material for improved weight distribution and a tilting mechanism that moves with the user's body. The chair is available in three sizes and six colors.

Sustainability is a key focus, with over 50% of the chair made from recycled materials, including ocean-bound plastic waste incorporated since 2021. Herman Miller emphasizes the chair's durable design as contributing to its sustainability by preventing it from ending up in landfills.
