Google says exploit for Chrome vulnerability is being actively exploited
Google has found an exploit for a recent Chrome vulnerability online and recommends that users update the browser quickly. The vulnerability, known since last month, allows attackers to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in the browser via a specially crafted HTML page, Google says. The vulnerability arises because the V8 engine misinterprets data, a so-called type confusion.
The fix is included in version 152.0.7977.82/.83, which Windows, macOS, and Linux users will receive automatically. Users can install the update earlier by manually checking for updates. Researcher Salvatore Gulizia discovered the vulnerability. The Dutch National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC, also urges users to perform the update.
